What is a non tech product manager?

A Non Tech Product Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the development and success of products that are not primarily technology-focused, such as consumer goods, retail items, or services. They manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, working with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales, design, and manufacturing. Unlike technical product managers, their role emphasizes market research, customer needs, and business strategy rather than software development or engineering. They ensure the product meets customer needs and business goals while coordinating with various departments. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills are essential for this role.

How does a non tech product manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product success?

Non-Tech Product Managers work closely with diverse teams such as marketing, sales, operations, and customer support to ensure a product meets both market needs and business objectives. They facilitate communication between these groups, gather feedback, and align everyone on the product vision and strategy. • Define success metrics for each initiative and ensure proper measurement is in place
  • Evaluate the impact of delivered initiatives against expected outcomes
  • Take accountability for results, identifying gaps and recommending follow-up actions
  • Feed learnings back into future discovery and roadmap planning

  • Leverage analytics platforms, A/B testing frameworks, and player behavior data to inform product discovery, prioritization, and post-launch evaluation
  • Partner with Data and Analytics teams to define KPIs, build dashboards, and run experiments within your product area
  • Use quantitative and qualitative research methods to validate hypotheses and measure outcomes

Regulatory & Responsible Gaming Awareness

  • Factor regulatory requirements, licensing conditions, and market-specific compliance considerations into product decisions within your area
  • Support responsible gaming principles by ensuring product features align with player safety and responsible play standards
