Summary

Senior Product Strategy Director, Agile Financial Analytics is a high-visibility, cross-functional individual contributor role focused on the Agile Financial Analytics product domain. The role is accountable for translating company strategy, roadmap investments, and technical capabilities into clear positioning, prioritized field feedback, and adoption-driving enablement that improves pipeline creation, win rates, and time-to-value.

This role partners with Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to drive alignment and market clarity, without owning day-to-day product backlog execution. Success is measured by consistent messaging, high-quality executive and field communications, and a feedback loop that informs product strategy and go-to-market decisions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Positioning, Narrative & Field Enablement

  • Define and continuously refine the positioning and value narrative for Agile Financial Analytics across key enterprise finance use cases.
  • Translate roadmap themes and technical capabilities into differentiated, customer-centric messaging and executive-ready talk tracks.
  • Ensure field readiness through scalable enablement (plays, briefs, FAQs) that improves sales execution and adoption.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Decision Support

  • Act as the strategic bridge between Product, Engineering, and GTM to ensure shared understanding of priorities, trade-offs, and timelines.
  • Proactively surface misalignment between what is being built and how it is positioned, packaged, or sold; drive resolution with accountable owners.
  • Facilitate executive-level forums and narratives that accelerate decisions and remove ambiguity.

Roadmap Communication & Change Management

  • Own internal communication of major roadmap updates and releases for GTM audiences, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and GTM leaders to manage messaging shifts tied to launches and strategic pivots.

Launch Readiness & Commercialization

  • Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing to define launch narratives, packaging implications, and field enablement requirements.
  • Define what "field ready" looks like for key releases; ensure enablement assets and internal communications land on time.
  • Monitor adoption and competitive feedback post-launch and recommend adjustments to messaging and enablement.

Executive & Customer-Facing Communication

  • Build high-quality executive and customer-facing narratives (strategy, roadmap, business updates) that simplify complexity and enable decisions.
  • Synthesize inputs from Product, Engineering, and GTM into cohesive, decision-ready insights and recommendations.

Voice of Field, Partners & Market Intelligence

  • Establish a simple, consistent mechanism to capture and synthesize feedback from Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and partners.
  • Translate insights into clear themes and recommendations that inform product strategy, roadmap trade-offs, and enablement priorities.
  • Identify recurring friction points; drive cross-functional actions to improve clarity and execution (with accountable owners).

Required Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS (analytics, EPM/CPM, or adjacent platforms) with demonstrated senior-level influence as an individual contributor or leader.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong background in Product Strategy, Product Operations, GTM Strategy, or similar crossfunctional productadjacent roles.
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise analytics, EPM/CPM platforms, financial data ecosystems, or performance management workflows.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical or datadriven concepts into clear business value for customerfacing teams.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and partner ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success influencing crossfunctional stakeholders and driving alignment at senior levels.
  • Experience representing product strategy in customer meetings, partner engagements, or industry forums.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including executive presentations, written narratives, and strategic storytelling.
  • Working knowledge of agile product delivery and engineering workflows (enough to partner effectively; not expected to be a Scrum lead or delivery manager).

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in product strategy, analytics, or finance are a plus.
  • Experience in highgrowth SaaS environments undergoing scale and organizational evolution is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of enterprise finance analytics and performance management workflows (e.g., FP&A, close/consolidation adjacency, KPI management), and how analytics capabilities translate into measurable business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of enterprise SaaS go-to-market motions and partner ecosystems, including how product strategy connects to pipeline creation, win/loss dynamics, and adoption.
  • Skill in executive communication and strategic storytelling, including simplifying complex product and financial-analytics concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Skill in cross-functional influence and stakeholder management, including partnering effectively across Product, Engineering, and GTM without direct authority.
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and business judgment to connect customer needs, market signals, and product investments to business outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage execution across multiple high-priority initiatives with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and drive clarity, alignment, and decisions in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues early, solve problems resourcefully, and drive resolution with accountable owners.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility through professionalism, integrity, and strong partnership behaviors across teams and leaders.
