The Product Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and onboarding domestic and global suppliers that deliver high-quality, cost-effective products to drive competitive advantage. This role manages complex, SKU-intensive product categories and develops sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resiliency.

As an individual contributor, this role partners closely with Product Development and Category Management teams to support new product launches, supplier selection, and long-term sourcing strategy. Candidates must be in or near Richmond, VA for consideration.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies aligned to cost, quality, and supply continuity goals
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard domestic and global suppliers, including contract manufacturers
  • Lead sourcing events (RFP/RFQ) in partnership with Product Development and Analytics teams
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers to optimize value
  • Manage supplier relationships and hold vendors accountable for performance, quality, and service levels
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier communication, including escalation and issue resolution
  • Lead joint business planning and ongoing strategic supplier discussions
  • Drive supplier diversification strategies, including geographic and country-of-origin considerations to improve supply chain resilience
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve quality, cost, or supply issues and ensure high service levels
  • Proactively identify new supplier opportunities and monitor market trends, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities
  • Support category strategy by analyzing competitive landscape and informing sourcing decisions
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically requires 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or supply chain
  • Experience managing supplier/vendor relationships and supporting sourcing initiatives
  • Experience participating in or leading RFP/RFQ processes and contract negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, category, or supply chain teams
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Experience sourcing finished goods or working with global contract manufacturers
  • Experience managing SKU-intensive product categories
  • Knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing frameworks
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, consumer goods, or private label products
  • Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder influence skills
  • Experience analyzing supplier markets, cost drivers, and competitive dynamics
  • Experience navigating national brand and private label sourcing strategies
Work Environment / Travel
  • Hybrid role (Richmond, VA)
  • Up to ~15% travel (domestic and occasional international)
  • Ability to collaborate across global suppliers and time zones
