Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing and directing the day-to-day process control and operational activities, plans and programs to ensure efficient operation and 100% safety and environment compliance. Includes the direction and management of a key customer, costs, staffing (internal & external), equipment resources and decision making.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
  • Directly supervise employees as well as sub-contract services.
  • Interface with other business partners in evaluation and preparation of models and plans for new business.
  • Interpret operational data and make operational changes as needed.
  • Coordinate all maintenance / equipment activities.
  • Successfully interface with safety, environmental and regulatory agencies to ensure efficiency processing and shipping/delivery of material.
  • Achieve safety, compliance and operational budgetary goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage, train, supervise and monitor performance of field and plant personnel to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
  • Monitors and controls field and plant operations in accordance with manufacturers O&M manuals, SOP's and established company policies and procedures.
  • Enforce and maintain company safety programs and procedures.
  • Frequent independent decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain daily spreadsheets and operating reports relating to operations.
  • Ensures that the facility operates within permit compliance, at/above its designed quota.
  • Reports weekly status covering all processing and maintenance related activities to Director of Operations.
  • Exhibit at all times safe behavior and perform job in safe manner.

STATUS AND SCOPE
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations, and know how to appropriately use discretion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environmental, process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks.
  • Ability to assist EHS&T Manager with development and administration of training programs for staff.

  • Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred
