You will work closely with product marketing managers, product managers, sales, and corporate marketing to help gather information, summarize insights, and create practical deliverables such as reports, presentations, sales tools, and marketing content.

Duties & Responsibilities:

AI-Enabled Productivity

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI tools to streamline and automate market analysis, competitive monitoring, tender tracking, VOC synthesis, and content creation.
  • Build and maintain prompts, templates, and lightweight workflows that scale the team's output and improve speed-to-insight.
  • Share AI best practices with the broader product marketing team and continuously evaluate new tools and capabilities.

Market Analysis & Overviews

  • Develop and maintain market overviews across NAM, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Track regulatory trends across all markets and industries Itron serves; summarize implications for the business in clear, concise briefs.
  • Monitor industry publications, association activity, and analyst reports; synthesize findings into deliverables the broader team can use.

Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor key competitors and maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence.
  • Build and refresh battlecards, teardown summaries, and positioning comparisons for use by sales and product management.

Voice of Customer (VOC)

  • Plan and execute VOC activities including surveys, customer interviews, advisory boards, webinar polling, and LinkedIn polls.
  • Synthesize VOC findings into slide-ready insights for product roadmap, marketing strategy, and executive reporting.

GTM Launch Support

  • Support product managers and senior product marketing managers on global and regional GTM launches: contribute to value propositions, segmentation, messaging, collateral, and launch checklists.
  • Track launch milestones, KPIs, and post-launch performance; flag risks and recommend course corrections.

Sales Enablement

  • Create and maintain sales enablement collateral - brochures, one-pagers, battlecards, training decks, FAQs, and playbooks - that translate technical features into clear customer value.
  • Coordinate with sales enablement and regional sales teams to ensure materials are accessible, current, and used.

Quarterly Reporting

  • Produce quarterly Marketing, VOC, and Wins/Losses reports; surface trends, learnings, and recommendations.
  • Conduct tender analysis: track key utility tenders, record outcomes, identify patterns, and feed insights back into GTM and competitive planning.

General

  • May lead and/or coordinate small team efforts; builds productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Supports ad hoc business requests: identifies trends, collects information, and provides analysis and deliverables (documents, presentations, training).
  • Creates and updates promotional content related to Itron's products and uploads to SharePoint, itron.com, and other appropriate channels.
  • May support planning and execution of internal/external events and participate as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 0-3 years of related experience, including internships, in product marketing, market research, competitive intelligence, or marketing communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar technologies to support research, analysis, content creation, or productivity. A willingness to learn and apply new AI tools and approaches is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams; experience with Qualtrics or similar survey tools a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in the utility, metering, or industrial technology sector.
  • Experience building or maintaining AI-driven workflows, agents, or prompt libraries.
  • Comfort working with global, cross-functional teams across time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable producing executive-ready summaries and slide content.
