GaN HEMT R&D Process Development Engineer, Senior
Summary
In order to expand the GaN HEMTtechnology offerings, MACOM's Advanced Semiconductor Technology group islooking to hire a Process Development Engineer with focus on Thin Film, Etch,Lithography and Process Integration. The engineer will have a solidunderstanding of semiconductor processing and he/she will be able to developnovel processes that will advance MACOM's GaN HEMT technology. We are lookingfor a technically creative person, highly motivated individual, who is excitedto work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- The candidate will own a range ofGaN HEMT R&D projects in the fab, develop various unit processes focused onetch, thin films, lithography, metrology and oversee engineering lotfabrication.
- will work closely with engineers that own other processingareas, including photolithography, wet processing, implantation, backendprocessing, test and assembly.
- will schedule, launch and disposition wafer fabrication lots in the Fab to meet specific development schedules and drive projects aimed at bringing new products into production.
- interface with fabrication engineers, program managers, circuit designers, reliability engineers, and other R&D engineers. While this activity will require coordination with Fab Operations as part of the New Technology Development (NTD) process, the execution of the experimental plan will be undertaken by this engineer, so hands on process development is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- should have previously demonstrated organization skills, the ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet goals in a fast-paced environment.
- 3 to 5 years' of minimum experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment are imperative for this employee.
- Semiconductor processing experience; preferably related to III-V or GaN RF power devices. At a minimum, the engineering position requires basic data analysis skills such as JMP and Excel.
In addition, this candidate will also possess skills in semiconductor assembly, package and test. RF test experience, TCAD and GaN epitaxial growth will be huge plus.
