The Lighting Gallery,a premier retail lighting showroom in Greensburg, PA, is seeking an experienced andmotivatedShowroom Managerto lead our team and drive sales performance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong retail background, preferably in lighting, electrical, or home design-who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


Position Overview


TheShowroom Manageris responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading the sales team, managing inventory and vendor relationships, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This individual will play a key role in maintaining profitability, staying current with industry trends, and supporting both in-store and online sales efforts.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and support showroom staff to achieve sales goals
  • Create weekly staff schedules and ensure proper coverage
  • Conduct performance reviews and recognize team achievements
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture across all departments


Sales & Customer Experience

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and assist customers as need
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, electricians, designers, and homeowners
  • Support sales activities including quotes, order entry, and returns
  • Maintain professional and friendly communication, both in person and over the phone


Operations & Merchandising

  • Oversee showroom appearance, displays, and product merchandising
  • Maintain accurate inventory and manage stock for displays
  • Open and close the showroom; ensure smooth daily operations
  • Purchase showroom and office supplies as needed


Financial & Administrative Management

  • Manage payroll and sales commissions
  • Analyze sales performance and returns to identify opportunities
  • Approve expenses and monitor operational costs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures


Vendor & Purchasing

  • Collaborate with manufacturer sales representatives
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, and display opportunities
  • Make strategic purchasing decisions to maintain strong margins


E-Commerce & Systems

  • Manage website updates, including pricing, promotions, and discontinued items
  • Utilize cloud-based systems (Infor experience preferred)


Qualifications:


  • Retail management experience required (lighting or electrical industry preferred)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid math and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Purchasing or inventory management experience preferred
  • Comfortable working with technology and cloud-based systems
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment


Work Schedule & Expectations

  • Occasional flexibility on evenings and weekends to support business needs, including remote tasks
