Job description

Position Summary: Inventory Analyst

The inventory analyst assists the merchandise planners and store planners in managing inventory to minimize backorders, maximize inventory turns and profitability and achieve established customer service levels for both eCommerce and Retail.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Tracking late PO deliveries, identify issues, and communicate opportunities to team
  • Resolution of shortages, overages and problem shipment issues
  • Review of in-transit products destined for stores and identify relevant issues such as lost product, missed receipts, etc.
  • Promotional pre-setup checks such as inventory position prior to promotional in-home dates. This includes all web, catalog promotions, and periodic checks throughout the life of the promotion as well as post promotional analysis.
  • Review of open backorders and expediting inventory where necessary
  • Maintaining planned arrival dates on all purchase orders and the expediting of past due orders
  • Applying PO price variance corrections
  • Validation of reserve inventory levels and aged inventory assessment
  • Organization, coordination and execution of vendor returns
  • Additional duties as assigned.
