This position reports to:
Manufacturing Unit Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role as Product Engineering Manager - Grid Components- you will lead the engineering team responsible for the design, development, and lifecycle management of LV and MV Instrument Transformers, Sensors and Outdoor Products -OH Switches, Fuses & Cutouts- used in low- medium- and high-voltage applications. This role oversees engineering execution from concept through production, ensuring products meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and compliance requirements.
The manager drives technical excellence, leads cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product management, and ensures product lines stay competitive and aligned with market and regulatory standards.
The work model for the role is: 100% On Site
This role is contributing to our NAM Electrification Distribution Solutions Operation in Pinetops, North Carolina for Product Group 3540 - ANSI Grid Components.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Aligning the unit's strategy with global strategy and ensuring operational development including profit and loss.
  • Providing input to the local division / product group strategy and acting as a key player in its implementation and in strengthening a business model relevant to the scope of engineering.
  • Leading the local engineering teams that are responsible for solutions, products, or sector areas and ensuring end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of projects on time.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships, seeking feedback, and providing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver improvements.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 15 years of engineering experience in instrument transformers, high-voltage equipment, or related power systems products.
  • 5 years of experience in Managing the Product Engineering function within an Electrical Distribution Products/Systems Design/Manufacturing Company
  • Strong understanding of CT/VT performance characteristics, magnetic design, insulation systems, and high-voltage testing.
  • Experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent) and PLM tools.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC 61869, IEC 60044, IEEE C57.13, and related standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with DFM, FMEA, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
