Job description

Drive efforts and provide direction for assigned product category in assisting with business strategy for product lifecycle management, pricing, promotional activities, product development, resource planning, product specifications, and developing /executing launch plans.

  • Participate in developing strategic direction for assigned product category by supporting the development of a 3-5 year Business Plan which then dictates the Product Road Map for New Product Development activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for product development which supports the Product Road Map, including identifying, evaluating, recommending, and implementing new products for existing and new markets
  • Clearly communicate product design direction including feature and performance expectations as well as timing requirements and support market research as required.
  • Manage existing product line portfolio and recommend product changes, additions, discontinuations and cost reductions to produce best cost position on an ongoing basis.
  • Participate in monthly demand forecast in conjunction with input from Sales and Demand Management.
  • Be current on competitive intelligence and own pricing strategies.
  • Interface moderately with Sales including participation in customer shows and visits.
  • Manage sales budget of $20M to $50M.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business management, or related studies is required; MBA preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience in sales / marketing
  • Able to travel up to approximately 15% of time
