Role Summary

The Sr. Engineering Change Manager is responsible for end to end coordination of engineering change product implementation. You will be the crucial link between product development and operations, ensuring a seamless and controlled integration of engineering changes and vehicle configuration options into the manufacturing environment. This role requires extensive collaboration with, but not limited to, design engineering, vehicle line, technical program management, supply chain, operations, and manufacturing engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Drive cross-functional alignment as the primary interface between product development, vehicle line, and other functions involved in the product change process.
  • Lead and integrate efforts to ensure manufacturing can effectively consume all changes.
  • Participate in engineering change request meetings and part deviation reviews to thoroughly understand the scope and requirements of the change.
  • Lead the planning and execution of high-impact and complex changes by effectively leveraging cross-functional meetings with all impacted stakeholders.
  • Develop change impact analysis for decision making in change implementation plans.
  • Lead program and manufacturing build change management readiness forums, gathering essential data for change execution.
  • Establish plant breakpoints using criteria such as supplier input, plant reference, engineering direction, and production order management input.
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
  • Evaluate and assign disposition of obsolete material, ensuring check list has been completed and all mitigation options have been validated.
  • Document change status, decisions, approvers, and other relevant information in the change management tool.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Program Management.
  • 3-5 yrs experience in Engineering Change implementation or relevant engineering function required.
  • Thorough expertise with BOM structures, BOM management, engineering drawings and part specifications.
  • Background in automotive manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record with design change processes, supply chain operations, and manufacturing stages (e.g., stamping, welding, assembly, paint)
  • Demonstrated competence in consolidating information and coordinating cross-functional alignment.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), specifically SAP.
  • Advanced experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office productivity suites.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented and cross-functional attitude.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines based on general instructions.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methodology to achieve best results.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple teams to achieve goals and targets.
  • Proactively plan for success.
  • Ability to parallel tasks or manage activities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English to ensure workplace safety, effective communication, and operational efficiency.
Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $98,500 - $123,100 for Illinois based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employeeโ€™s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees.
