Summary:
This is the senior-level role that provides the product and profit and growth linkage for all company and alliance products. Provides analysis of data and information, identification of root causes of deviations, development of solutions and driving the execution of plan implementation. Manages operational planning and rate revisions, accountable for achieving profit and growth goals.
Depending upon business need, may specialize in leading new product innovation and development projects.
Maintains and communicates a detailed understanding of all performance indicators under the guidance of a leadership. Makes recommendations that enhance guidelines/policies, systems or compliance efforts. Provides guidance to less experience staff.
Responsibilities:
Product Management Specialization
  • Develops and communicates a thorough and deep understanding of all performance indicators with accountability for driving desired profit and growth results in assigned area. Develops appropriate metrics to measure success of initiatives.
  • Leads others toward the identification of valid root causes of business issues. Finds the data that are useful for root cause analysis in a timely manner. Understands what data are available and where to find data that has meaning to the problem at hand.
  • Manages cross-functional rate revision process.
Product Development Specialization
  • Leads and coordinates stakeholders to analyze demographics and market segmentation to identify growth opportunities alignment and product changes.
  • Responsible for end-to-end development and deployment of Pricing, Filing, and Product strategies using fact-based decisions based upon a knowledge of the market, which includes competitors, regulatory and legal environment, claims handling trends, and distribution channel
  • Leads projects or initiatives that supports profitability and growth.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationship with other lines to avoid product overlaps or gaps and determines opportunities.
  • Leads or coordinates lean product innovation processes to test-and-validate product needs using minimum viable product and other concepts
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting facts and data, including financial information, in a way that can lead to actionable conclusions.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating to a variety of audiences to review findings, arguments, options, risks, benefits, and other issues in a frame of reference that the audience can understand.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving to results in one or more of the following areas: sales, product lines, claims, or other core business functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading large complex projects or programs with a cross-divisional impact toward intended results.
  • Demonstrated prior management or leadership experience in area(s) of accountability.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of root cause analysis and processes
