To thrive as a Product Development Manager, you need expertise in project management, market analysis, and product lifecycle strategies, usually supported by a degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Agile methodologies, product management software (e.g., Jira, Trello), and certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master are highly beneficial. Our differentiated approach combines the power of investment autonomy with the support of a robust, fully integrated operational and distribution platform. General Summary and Purpose

Responsible for the end-to-end design, development, launch, and ongoing lifecycle management of the firm's product shelf across a range of investment vehicles — including ETFs, mutual funds, UCITS, collective investment trusts, interval funds, separate accounts, and models. Activities include identifying and evaluating new product opportunities; structuring and launching new strategies and vehicles; managing product changes and rationalization; and partnering across the organization to advance the firm's product strategy. This role works closely with senior leadership and fund boards, monitors industry trends and the competitive landscape, and supports the firm's distribution efforts.

You will report to the Head of Product.

Product Development & Launch

  • Support and coordinate the end-to-end product design, development, launch, and ongoing oversight of vehicles across asset classes — including ETFs, mutual funds, UCITS, collective investment trusts, interval funds, separate accounts, and models
  • Uncover and evaluate new strategy and vehicle opportunities by closely monitoring industry trends
  • Develop documentation to support new product ideas, including materials for senior leadership and fund boards
  • Build launch plans and manage rollout across all company divisions necessary for a successful introduction

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

  • Identify and implement changes to existing funds and lead product rationalization initiatives across the shelf
  • Analyze and implement product initiatives that align the lineup with firm strategy and client demand
  • Assess vehicle structures and their relative advantages across institutional and intermediary channels

Partnering Across the Organization

  • Partner across the organization — including Investment teams, Distribution, Marketing, Legal/Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Fund Administration — to advance product initiatives
  • Work closely with senior leadership and fund boards, preparing materials and analysis to support governance and decision-making
  • Serve as an internal subject-matter resource on vehicle mechanics and product requirements

Industry & Market Insight

  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market opportunities to inform the product roadmap
  • Track the competitive landscape consistently and translate findings into actionable product recommendations

International & Distribution Support

  • Support international distribution efforts, including the development and ongoing oversight of UCITS and other offshore vehicles
  • Coordinate with International Sales & Distribution teams to align product offerings with regional opportunities and requirements

Project Management

  • Provide project management support throughout the product lifecycle, managing and prioritizing multiple initiatives to deadline

You Have:

  • BS or BA in Economics, Finance, or Business. Progress towards an MBA, equivalent graduate degree, and/or CFA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the asset management industry in a product, product development, or investment role
  • Excellent knowledge of the asset management business and investment products, including vehicle mechanics and requirements across ETFs, mutual funds, UCITS, collective investment trusts, interval funds, separate accounts, and models
  • Technical understanding of fund structuring and the regulatory, legal, and tax frameworks governing registered and offshore vehicles (e.g., 1940 Act funds and UCITS), with the ability to assess their implications for new and existing products
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize competitive, market, and performance data into actionable product recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive product initiatives from concept through launch, working effectively across various functions within the organization and with outside partners, including senior leadership and fund boards
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment in navigating complex, ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work with a small team and independently — a self-starter
  • Organized, able to manage and prioritize multiple projects — strong project management skills
  • Familiarity with industry data and analytical tools (e.g., Morningstar Direct, eVestment) a plus
