Position Overview:
The Associate Product Manager (APM) supports a disciplined, business oriented approach to product planning and management of the assigned hardware solutions to achieve business performance objectives. Through Voice of the Customer research, participation in channel partner product councils, meeting with internal sales and marketing organizations and competitive analysis, the APM gains a deep understanding of customer applications, problems and needs in the target market segments. Armed with this knowledge the APM develops and executes a compelling product vision and "optimized" product portfolio that delivers a superior customer value proposition and meets product financial objectives. This is primarily accomplished through development and execution of product plans and specific marketing requirements that deliver products and services with unique value to Entrust's customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Interface with customers, sales, and field teams to identify and validate product requirements
  • Perform competitive product and market analysis research
  • Participate in cross-functional teams, which are made up of HW/SW development, HW/SW operations, QA, and product management, to design and deliver high quality solutions.
  • Assist the product management leads in developing and maintaining product roadmaps
  • Assist the product management team with day-to-day activities and projects related to management of the lifecycle of their products and systems
  • Identify and drive initiatives which make it easier for customers to do business with Entrust
  • Lead cross-functional teams to commercialize new products through corporate ERP system
  • Work with marketing communication team, vertical marketing teams, and appropriate functional colleagues to develop and deliver appropriate reports and information in a timely fashion
  • Assist the product management leads in developing product and market requirements documents
  • Review and report on product performance indicators
  • Identify and drive initiatives which make it easier for customers to do business with Entrust

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of engineering, business analysis, or product management experience
  • Demonstrated analytical experience including market research/analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Demonstrated technical acumen to engage with development , customer support, and service operations teams to develop end to end service value chain
  • Functional understanding and experience of both hardware and software technologies and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage on day-to-day tasks and projects with proper direction provided
  • Demonstrated ability to write, defend and execute on findings
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant work experience at a hardware and/or software product development company
  • MBA or M.S. Management of Technology
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure while managing multiple competing projects and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced B2B marketing environment

Where you will be: This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in our Shakopee, MN headquarters office.

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $93,341-$136,901 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company's discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
