Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical equipment and components. This role is responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, technical documentation, and product specifications while ensuring designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new products and improve existing product designs.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and reference materials.
  • Review designs for manufacturability, functionality, quality, and compliance.
  • Perform technical calculations and prepare design data.
  • Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, assembly, vendors, and customers to support projects.
  • Research design alternatives and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software required.
  • Experience creating detailed drawings, assemblies, and mechanical designs.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
