Job description

About Nani

At Nani, we believe confidence grows when women feel comfortable, capable, and ready for whatever adventure comes next. As a women-owned brand, we're passionate about creating thoughtfully designed swimwear and activewear that empowers women to get outside, try new things, and live fully.

We're also committed to building that same experience for our team. Nani is a fast-growing company where creativity, collaboration, and positivity thrive. We work hard, support each other, celebrate wins, and genuinely enjoy what we do. If you're looking for meaningful work, opportunities to grow, and a team that values both excellence and fun, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

Nani is looking for a detail-oriented Design Assistant to support the design team's day-to-day sample and materials workflow. With a focus on design, patterns and color, this role keeps the studio organized and moving - tracking samples, managing incoming shipments, and coordinating fabric, trim, and packaging approvals across our swim and active categories.

Key Responsibilities

Organize check-in and check-out of SMS, PP, and TOP samples

Manage approvals for all fabric categories across swim and active pieces, including trims and packaging

Create mood boards and work with print designer to develop product print and color in new collections

Support print and color development as needed

Input and maintain accurate style and material data in PLM, communicating updates and status across the design team

Required Qualifications

2-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to track multiple samples and shipments simultaneously without losing accuracy

Comfort working cross-functionally with designers, vendors, and packaging partners

Why Nani?

At Nani, we're more than a swimwear and apparel brand; we're a team of passionate people who believe in confidence, adventure, and showing up for one another. We work hard, celebrate wins, support growth, and create products that help women feel comfortable and capable in every season of life.

As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, contribute new ideas, and help shape the future of a growing women-owned brand. If you're looking for a workplace where your contributions matter and your teammates genuinely care, we'd love to hear from you.

Nani is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees and applicants are treated with respect and have equal access to opportunities. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.

Ready to join the adventure? We'd love to meet you.
