Global Formula Commercialization Manager

A Day in the Life:

In the position of Global Formula Commercialization Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing technical activities for the liquid formulation from lab scale to commercial production based on scope of work, cost budget and project timelines. Ensure the accuracy of the formulas developed by the flavor houses, design all regional and plant-specific formulas in an efficient, cost-effective manner, and set up Semi-Finished Good Bill of Material (SFG BOM) in SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

The Impact You'll Make:
  • Lead optimization discussions during regional technical transfer meetings to maximize efficiencies across the bottling network. Identify optimal supply chain and pack configurations for 'kit model' formulas. Optimize ingredient pack sizes for finished good model' across a broad bottling network.
  • Responsible for activities and information required for internal system set-up for commercialization readiness, including setting up and maintaining new ingredients, semi-finished goods, plant specific formulas, and extensions in SAP PLM, and conducting plant specific formula requests and documents.
  • Review formulas from Flavor Houses to ensure accuracy and adherent to the Monster Energy Company (MEC) technical specification. Conduct technical peer-review of PLM and site-specific formulas for other regions to ensure accuracy of formulas, specifications, proprietary ingredients, and commodities.
  • Provide corrosion risk assessment of formulations to support timely launches. Monitor corrosion and liquid lacquer combability testing activities to ensure all liquids are properly tested and qualified for local lacquer regulations.
  • Conduct liquid cost validation. Assist with reformulation plan if costs exceed budget.
  • Lead technical discussion with external vendors and flavor houses to help drive formula activities and resolution of current development and in-market hurdles. Also, collaborate with Program / Project Managers on project scoping to develop accurate and risk-adverse launch timelines.
Who You Are:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Scientific discipline (Food Science, food Engineering).
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 7 years of experience in Product Development of beverage
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in other technical roles (Quality and manufacturing, technical services) with a proven record of an understanding of ingredient, formulations, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, PLM systems, SAP experience
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Technical decision-making skills and collaborative communication internally and with external global development partners and suppliers and will have the ownership of all formula related technical matters.
