Job description

About the Role:
Build your brand. Tell your story. Take advantage of a rare opportunity to build best-in-class xIL platforms from the ground up.
Stellantis is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by software and digital innovation. The Software Engineering (SWE) organization is leading this evolution by enabling next-generation vehicle experiences through scalable, high-performance development ecosystems.
The xIL Product Manager is a key member of the Software Engineering XIL Operational Management Team and plays a critical role in defining the product vision, roadmap, release strategy, and operational priorities for xIL platforms (MIL, SIL and HIL). This role translates customer and leadership needs into clear priorities for Delivery Leads and engineering teams, ensuring xIL platforms are planned, developed, deployed, and operated in alignment with program milestones, business objectives, and cross-functional stakeholder expectations.
Core Responsibilities:
xIL Product Strategy, Roadmap & Vision
  • Own the product vision, roadmap, KPIs, and release strategy for xIL platforms across MIL, SIL, and HiL environments.
  • Translate customer, program, and leadership requirements into clear product priorities for Delivery Leads, Product Owners, and engineering teams.
  • Partner with Delivery Leads to prioritize platform activities, manage trade-offs, and align execution with business value and program milestones.
  • Drive PI planning, backlog prioritization, sprint execution alignment, and cross-functional stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain alignment between xIL platform capabilities, vehicle program needs, software release plans, and virtual-first validation strategy.

xIL Framework & Toolchain Management
  • Lead product-level planning and integration of xIL toolchains including dSPACE, Vector VT Systems, NI, ETAS, MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica-based tools, TeamCity, and Git-based systems.
  • Ensure platforms are scalable, stable, high-performing, properly versioned, and release-aligned.
  • Drive standardization and reuse of frameworks, tool configurations, and operating models across programs.

Operational Management
  • Lead operational product management across SIL/HIL validation, supporting Delivery Leads with planning, prioritization, dependencies, and execution readiness.
  • Coordinate with management, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, TPMs, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure priorities are visible, understood, and executable.
  • Drive governance routines including PI planning, sprint reviews, BTRs, 2x2s, roadmap reviews, capacity reviews, and leadership updates.
  • Use data-driven methods to monitor load-versus-capacity, team availability, resource demand, delivery risks, and operational trends.
  • Support transformation toward standardized, scalable, reusable, and virtual-first xIL platform delivery across global programs.

Customer Support & xIL Adoption
  • Act as the product-facing lead for internal customers across SWE, PRS, VE, validation, and domain organizations.
  • Capture customer needs, translate them into product requirements, and communicate actionable priorities to Delivery Leads and engineering teams.
  • Drive adoption of xIL platforms by supporting onboarding strategy, usage guidance, best practices, and transition planning for L3/L3+ environments.
  • Identify barriers in tool usability, environment accessibility, process gaps, and platform readiness, then convert feedback into roadmap improvements.
  • Provide clear management-level communication on roadmap status, risks, decisions needed, and delivery progress.

Product Analytics, AI Automation & Operational Insights
  • Build and maintain analytics capabilities that provide leadership visibility into xIL platform utilization, team adoption, development issues, and operational trends.
  • Develop Databricks/Jira-based resource planning capabilities to automate resource requests, allocation tracking, team availability, sprint reviews, BTR/2x2s, and load-versus-capacity analysis.
  • Develop TeamCity pipeline health dashboards using Databricks to track build volume, pass/fail trends, CI/CD KPIs, and platform stability indicators.
  • Apply AI/LLM tools to automate engineering analytics, reporting, root-cause analysis, failure summaries, and Teams notifications.

Financial, Resource & Supplier Planning
  • Support resource planning, capacity visibility, budget inputs, and cost optimization for xIL platform development and operations.
  • Participate in SOW definition, supplier engagement, and initial RFQ discussions when external support, tools, or platform capabilities are required.
  • Ensure supplier scope, deliverables, and timing align with roadmap priorities, platform needs, and program milestones.
  • Partner with leadership and Delivery Leads to balance priorities across resource availability, business impact, technical risk, and delivery timing.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Collaborate closely with Delivery Leads, Product Owners, software development teams, system engineering, validation teams, DevOps, IT, TPMs, and domain organizations.
  • Serve as the bridge between customer expectations, management direction, supplier capabilities, and engineering execution.
  • Act as a product liaison with tool vendors and suppliers for roadmap alignment, issue escalation, support coordination, and capability planning.
  • Communicate product decisions, trade-offs, roadmap changes, and dependency impacts clearly across technical and leadership audiences.

Product Leadership
  • Lead through influence across cross-functional teams, aligning Product Owners, Delivery Leads, engineering teams, and stakeholders around product outcomes.
  • Build product management discipline in roadmap planning, prioritization, stakeholder communication, operational analytics, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused engineering culture.
