She has also held a role on the Network Office team and now operates with both an advisor and leadership contract. Prior to NM, Sophia worked for three years at the University of Louisville College of Business after completing her MBA, and before that served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy.

  • Passionate About: Sophia enjoys spending time with her close family and being outdoors. A farm girl at heart, she has a deep love for animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses, and enjoys working outside, hiking, and spending time on the farm. She also has an adventurous side and loves traveling and trying new experiences, including skydiving, scuba diving, hang gliding, parasailing, snowmobiling, and skiing.

Cory Thorne – Financial Advisor and District Director (DTO):

  • Time with NM: 16 years.

  • Prior Experience: Began his professional career with Northwestern Mutual as an intern during his junior year of college and has built his entire career within the organization.

  • Passionate About: Cory is passionate about his family, his wife Kathryn and daughters Emma and Hannah. He enjoys spending time outdoors, including mountain biking and hiking. His hobbies include woodworking, photography, and golf.

Anthony Mosley – Chief Recruiting Officer:

  • Time with NM: 9 months.

  • Prior Experience: Brings 13 years of experience in recruitment operations, talent attraction, and leadership. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Anthony worked with companies including Facebook, Congo Brands, and Aerotek.

  • Passionate About: Anthony is a devoted husband and father and enjoys spending time with his family. He loves college football and spending time outdoors in the sun.
