Your Opportunity as the Senior Human Resources Coordinator ~internally this role will be titled Senior Operations Support Coordinator Support the people behind Meow Mix®, one of America's most recognized and trusted cat food brands. Join The J.M. Smucker Company's Decatur, AL manufacturing facility and play a critical role in recruiting talent, supporting employee engagement, administering payroll processes, and creating an exceptional employee experience. In this highly visible role, you'll partner with plant leadership and employees to help drive the culture, operational excellence, and workforce that produce Meow Mix® products enjoyed by pet families across the country. At The J.M. Smucker Company, we are proud to manufacture products that families and pets trust and love. This role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on the employee experience at our Decatur Meow Mix® manufacturing facility while contributing to the success of one of the most recognized brands in pet food.

Location: Decatur, AL | Meow Mix® Manufacturing Plant Work Arrangements: 100% on-site Typical schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Willingness to work off-shift and flow to the work as needed, including occasional support for plant events and employee engagement activities

In this role you will:
  • Human Resources (HR), Payroll, and Organizational Capability (OC) Support Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions, helping attract and hire top talent that supports the production of Meow Mix® products
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience from day one
  • Create, maintain, and manage hourly personnel records and documentation
  • Process, reconcile, and transmit bi-weekly hourly payroll utilizing Workday
  • Partner with leaders to ensure timekeeping accuracy, approvals, and compliance with attendance policies
  • Investigate payroll and timekeeping discrepancies, resolve issues, and provide timely employee support
  • Serve as a trusted resource for HR policies, payroll questions, and time-off administration
  • Support Dormakaba time clock enrollment, troubleshooting, and employee training
  • Assist with reporting, audits, investigations, and data analysis to support business needs
  • Ensure compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations and policies
  • Support plant objectives through accurate administration, organization, and execution of HR processes
  • Employee Engagement and Community Events: Partner with plant leadership to support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and site initiatives
  • Coordinate and execute employee engagement activities, recognition events, and plant celebrations that reinforce our culture and values
  • Manage logistics for key events including community activities
  • Manage employee sponsorship and donation requests
  • Support community relations initiatives, including charitable campaigns, volunteer efforts, and local partnerships
  • Help create a positive workplace environment for the employees who manufacture Meow Mix® products enjoyed by cats across the country
  • Help foster an engaging, inclusive, and people-first workplace culture
  • Accounting and Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and Plant Leadership Team
  • Manage vendor invoices and transactions through the Marketplace system
  • Manage vendor office supplies
  • Launch and run company store inventory and administration
  • Support mail, shipping, and related administrative activities as needed
What We Are Looking For:Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of Human Resources, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, or related administrative experience
  • Experience supporting a fast-paced manufacturing, operations, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, interviewing
