A Day in the LifeThe Senior Manager, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) serves as a strategic and technical leader across the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay value stream. This role combines deep practitioner expertise, digital and systems acumen, and transformational leadership to drive operational excellence, strengthen controls and compliance, and deliver scalable business value. You will bring your extensive P2P experience, strong business partnership skills, and a proven ability to lead complex process and technology transformation initiatives in a highly matrixed global organization.
In this highly visible leadership role, you will influence strategy, optimize global processes, improve stakeholder experiences, and advance Medtronic's digital transformation agenda across purchasing, invoicing, payments, governance, and compliance.

As the Sr. Manager, Procure-to-Pay, you will:

  • Drive P2P value stream process optimization, standardization, automation, and digital transformation to improve business performance, stakeholder experience, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Develop and execute long-term P2P strategies that enhance quality, scalability, speed, risk management, controls, and total cost of ownership while leveraging data, analytics, and technology to deliver measurable business value.

  • Partner across Supply Management, Finance, IT & Vendor Master, Shared Services, and Business Operations to streamline processes, strengthen governance, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the enterprise.

  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics, translating insights into actionable improvements that increase productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide insights and expertise to cross-functional teams, leading performance improvement initiatives that mitigate risk, reduce costs, and maximize value realization.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers and professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while aligning talent and performance objectives to business priorities.

Must-Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, including 5 years of people leadership experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience, including 5 years of people leadership experience.

  • 7+ years of hands-on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience with demonstrated expertise across the end-to-end process lifecycle.

  • Experience leading large-scale process improvement, transformation, or business process management initiatives.

Nice to Have

  • Deep expertise across the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, purchasing, invoicing, accounts payable, payment processing, supplier management, and governance.

  • Strong knowledge of P2P technologies, ERP platforms, workflow automation, and digital transformation, with experience leading procurement, finance, or enterprise system implementations.

  • Demonstrated success driving process standardization, operational excellence, compliance, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business value.

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate operational opportunities into strategic outcomes and influence decision-making across complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Proven leadership capabilities, including stakeholder management, executive communication, change leadership, talent development, and building high-performing teams.

  • Experience within global manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, or other highly regulated industries preferred.

  • Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or related certification.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
