About the Rol

eThe Strategic Pricing & Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that protect company margin, support customer retention, and improve quote win rates. This role is critical to helping the business quote customers accurately by applying strong market knowledge, commercial judgment, strategic sourcing insight, and a clear understanding of SSD, memory, storage, semiconductor, and adjacent electronics market dynamics

.The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially confident, and comfortable defending higher pricing when supported by market conditions and data. This person will work closely with Sales, Procurement, Product Management, and Executive Leadership and, after an initial training period, will have authority to make pricing decisions within the business

.Strategic sourcing is an important part of the role, and customer-facing experience is also valuable, as this person will support and lead pricing discussions with customers when needed. We are looking for someone who brings confidence and sound commercial judgment to pricing decisions, understands market dynamics, can quickly grasp market changes, and is comfortable recommending and defending firm quote positions when supported by market intelligence to retain customers while protecting the company

.This position reports to the COO and is a full-time onsite role, Monday through Friday, based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Travel may be required based on business needs (estimated once per quarter). Relocation package is not available at this time

.Responsibilitie

  • sDevelop customer quotations and pricing strategies for DRAM, NAND, SSD, memory module, and related product lines
  • .Set pricing positions based on market conditions, supply-demand trends, customer value, competitive intelligence, and procurement economics
  • .Analyze deal profitability and make pricing decisions that balance customer retention with company margin protection, ensuring quotes are positioned appropriately as market conditions change
  • .Defend disciplined pricing and challenge unnecessary concessions when market information supports a stronger quote position
  • .Support and lead pricing discussions with customers and internal stakeholders, with customer-facing activity serving as an important but secondary aspect of the role
  • .Maintain disciplined pricing governance, approval processes, and quote documentation
  • .Develop a strong understanding of customer purchasing behavior, buying cycles, inventory positions, and sourcing strategies
  • .Monitor market changes closely and translate supply-demand movement, competitor activity, and cost changes into actionable pricing recommendations
  • .Track industry conditions including wafer availability, memory pricing trends, component cost movement, logistics costs, and supply chain risk
  • .Build and maintain market intelligence that helps the company make informed buying and pricing decisions while protecting profitability
  • .Provide regular pricing outlooks, market updates, and commercial recommendations to management
  • .Partner closely with Procurement and strategic sourcing teams to stay current on supplier cost positions, availability, and market movement, with strategic sourcing serving as an important part of the role
  • .Understand the cost drivers that affect product profitability, including memory IC pricing, SSD controller pricing, logistics, and supply risk
  • .Translate procurement and sourcing insight into commercial pricing decisions and customer quote strategy
  • .Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Executive Leadership to support winning strategies for both revenue growth and margin protection
