Job description

Vendor Manager
The Opportunity:
Be responsible for the management and coordination of all vendor management activities for a contract Program Management Office, including procurement activities and liaison with subcontractor companies. Perform procurement activities such as working with purchasing and supplier management teams to facilitate and execute customer procurements required under contract. Develop tracking met hods and institute tracking and auditing processes and reporting met rics to represent the accuracy and overall health of the program's procurement, logistics, and asset management. Perform audits and report met rics and updates concerning the logistical status and condition of GFE and other assets. Participate regularly in quality reviews, identifying areas of improvement and recommending efficiencies to advance the program's ability to track GFE and other assets. Conduct due diligence for complex procurement initiatives, including market research, supplier evaluations, and cost analysis. Liaise with subcontractor companies to track and manage all administrative operations, including status reporting, compliance, and staffing and requisition activities, perform quality checks, apply expertise to identify business process improvement opportunities, and help implement new tools and procedures.
You Have:
  • Experience with procurement and logistics tracking and supply chain management
  • Experience with research gathering, data entry and database maintenance, data tracking and analysis, and reporting
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract formation, and contract administration
  • Ability to leverage and evaluate technical, economic, and market research, and informational resources, as a basis for sourcing recommendations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting federal government agencies, the Intelligence Community ( IC ) , the Department of Defense ( DoD ) , or FEDSIM programs
  • Experience with procurement management or procuring products or services on behalf of the government
  • Experience using Computer Hardware, Enterprise Sof tware, and Solutions ( CHESS ) for purchasing
  • Experience with technical applications, including Micro sof t Office applications and e-Procurement systems
  • Experience with contracts, subcontracts, and vendor management, and project or program management
  • Knowledge of budget ing, cost research, finan cia l tracking and reporting, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and DFARS
  • Possession of excellent negotiation, advisory, and people skills
  • Possession of excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Possession of excellent leadership skills, to interface with internal groups and teams at multiple organizational levels
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to e nga ge with multiple stakeholders

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
