This role is responsible for driving cost efficiency, ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining trade compliance, and bringing together internal teams, customers, carriers, and third-party partners to deliver reliable, high-performing logistics solutions.

This position requires a strong people leader who can influence, align, and manage relationships across customer service, carriers (3PLs), and external warehouse providers, while maintaining a deep understanding of market dynamics and demonstrating strong financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities
Regional Logistics Operations
  • Oversee the movement of finished goods from manufacturing sites in the Americas to customers across North America.
  • Manage export shipments to other global regions and coordinate imports to ensure seamless, compliant, and cost-effective cross-border operations.
  • Partner closely with supply chain, production, and procurement teams to ensure efficient and reliable inbound logistics of raw materials to manufacturing facilities.

People Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including customer service, logistics providers, carriers, and third-party warehouses.
  • Act as a unifying force across internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration, accountability, and shared performance goals.
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for logistics-related challenges impacting customers or operations.

Cost & Financial Management
  • Own logistics cost performance for the Americas region, ensuring alignment with monthly and annual operational budgets.
  • Apply strong financial acumen to analyze freight, warehousing, and logistics spend, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present logistics cost performance reports, including variance analysis and improvement plans.

Import & Export Management
  • Manage all international logistics activities, including documentation, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure efficient cross-border movements.
  • Ensure compliance with trade and customs regulations across the U.S., Canada, and Brazil, proactively mitigating risks.

Inventory Accuracy & Control
  • Ensure accuracy of physical inventory across all warehouses and storage locations.
  • Implement and maintain strong inventory control processes.
  • Oversee regular cycle counts and audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical and system inventories.

Procurement & Supplier Support

  • Provide logistics expertise to support sourcing decisions and supplier performance improvement.

  • Leverage logistics and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4 TM, IM, EWM) to increase visibility, accuracy, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles where applicable to streamline logistics processes.

Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with applicable customs, trade, and transportation regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply disruptions, capacity constraints, and regulatory changes.
  • Develop contingency plans to protect service continuity and business performance.

Required Qualifications
