The Construction Intern will support Project Managers and Superintendents in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to both office and field operations, offering the opportunity to learn key aspects of the construction industry, including project management, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Strong interest in the construction industry
Basic understanding of construction principles (preferred but not required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both in an office and on active construction sites
Ability to understand and follow instructions; function effectively as part of a team; ability to work under pressure; communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and
the public.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to walk job sites and stand for extended periods and ability to lift up to 25 pounds (if needed). Combination of office and field work. Exposure to construction site conditions (noise, dust, varying weather). Must be able to follow safety protocols and wear required PPE when on-site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers with project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders
Support Superintendents in daily field operations and coordination of subcontractors
Participate in job site visits to observe construction activities and monitor progress
Help track project schedules, budgets, and milestones
Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is up to date
Assist with procurement and material tracking
Attend project meetings and take notes or prepare meeting minutes
Support safety compliance efforts by observing site safety practices and reporting concerns
Assist in resolving project issues by coordinating with project team members
Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support project teams
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task; properly follow all Company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
