Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Expeditor work in our Houston Tx office location. The Expeditor will report directly to the head of Procurements perform the duties described in the job description below.
  • The purpose of visits is to monitor progress, identify opportunities for schedule improvement, and coordinate information requests and other issues between the fabricator and Procurement.
  • Provide reports to the Procurement Director following each visit.
  • Generate RFQ packages for supplier bidding
  • Review quotations, prepare bid tabulations, and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
  • Generate procurement requisitions including Scope of Work, Drawings, Specifications, ITP, etc.
  • Manage purchase orders inclusive of but not limited to the conduct of kick-off meetings, review of weekly status reports, expediting (occasional in-person), and occasional attendance of inspections.
  • Coordinate between vendors and in-house project management, engineering, and quality control groups as necessary.
  • Ensure on-time and deliveries as per purchase order.
  • May have to travel on company business to visit and review progress, expedite work, and develop new vendors or maintain relationships with existing vendors.
  • Looking for solutions to vendor errors, budget limitations, and other problems as they arise, finding ways to save money on the purchase of goods, and requesting budget increases as necessary
  • Working with Project Managers to collect relevant information about job status, putting together a cohesive and clear presentation, and adding meeting details to the calendars of the attendees
  • Adhering to established ISO procedures, policies, instructions, and guidelines
