Your role and responsibilities
As an Associate SAP Consultant at IBM, you will support clients in implementing, enhancing, and optimizing SAP solutions to help achieve their business goals. Working alongside experienced consultants, you will contribute to transformation projects, develop your consulting skills, and deliver business value across a variety of industries.
In this role, you may be responsible for:
  • Assisting with the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP solutions.
  • Collaborating with clients and project teams to gather business requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Supporting workshops, stakeholder meetings, and process documentation to understand current and future business processes.
  • Contributing to project activities such as testing, documentation, data validation, training, issue resolution, and go-live support.
  • Applying IBM methodologies and best practices to help improve business processes and client outcomes.

Depending on business needs and project requirements, you will have the opportunity to work with SAP technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Supply Chain, SAP Finance, SAP Procurement, SAP Analytics, and other cloud-based enterprise solutions.
These positions are anticipated to start in 2027.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Openness to assist clients in solution design, business process analysis, process development, functional implementation, and application support.
  • Ability to quickly learn enterprise systems, ERP platforms, and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Preferred majors: MIS, Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Previous Internship, co-op, academic project, or hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Exposure to SAP concepts, modules, or platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, or SAP Analytics is a plus.
  • Understanding of core business processes in one or more areas such as finance, procurement, supply chain, human resources, or payroll.
  • Exposure to requirements gathering, testing, documentation, process mapping, or workflow analysis.
  • Willingness to pursue relevant SAP certifications and continued learning opportunities.
