About this role

Automated Logic, a leading provider of innovative building automation systems and a part of Carrier Global Corporation, is seeking a Material Procurement Associate Project Manager for Waco, TX. In this role, you will bridge the gap between project management and supply chain logistics. You will be responsible for ensuring that the right materials arrive at the right job sites at the right time, directly impacting the success of our building automation projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage the lifecycle of project materials-from initial requisition through delivery-while maintaining high standards for cost-efficiency and vendor relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, localization, and relationship activities. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of parts, materials, components, and products.
  • Cost Optimization: Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues.
  • Supply Chain Manager: Oversees the entire lifecycle of products, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, and vendor relationships.
  • Supply Chain Analyst: Analyzes logistics data to optimize operations, enhance planning, and support faster delivery times.
  • Logistics: Coordinates transportation, distribution, and warehousing to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Procurement/Buyer Specialist: Manages sourcing of raw materials and negotiates supplier contracts.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or project coordination.
  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Ability to be insured for driving company vehicles or personal vehicle on company behalf

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the HVAC, Building Automation, or Construction industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar project management/procurement modules.
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or APICS/ASCM Supply Chain certifications.
  • Strong aptitude for data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
