Description

SAIC is seeking a Procurement Associate to provide support for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center for multiple programs in Middletown, RI.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting procurements and property management of Government material at SAIC
  • Source, negotiate and purchase IT Hardware and software, fabricated parts, machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies and incidental services necessary for operation of an organization or program
  • Interface with vendors to obtain quotes; process Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders
  • Update Excel spreadsheets with relevant information; kitting and tracking inventory; interface with customers to develop procurement requirements and to provide status updates
  • Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
  • Monitor performance of suppliers
  • Track data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
  • Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and zero or more of related experience; experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have procurement experience
  • MS Office proficiency including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Quick learner and proactive
  • Ability to manage logistical issues

Required Security Clearance:

  • Ability to acquire a SECRET government clearance
