Job Description

The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Procurement, Grants, & Contracts Coordinator. This full-time opportunity seeks a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team within the Land & Resource Division. This vital role is not eligible for remote work, requiring hands-on collaboration and oversight at our facilities to effectively manage and streamline all procurement, contract, and grant-related activities.

Located in the heart of our tribal operations, the Procurement, Grants, & Contracts Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our mission through meticulous management and regulatory compliance of our purchasing systems, contract negotiations, and grants administration. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding career for a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to upholding the values and financial integrity of the tribe.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and process contracts, agreements, and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure all required documentation is included for contracts and grants.
  • Track grant deliverables, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain a centralized database for contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure procurement and spending compliance with Tribal, federal, and funding agency regulations.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Office Manager for purchasing requests and approvals.
  • Ensures quotes and proposals are complete and accurate.
  • Support staff with grant and contract documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records for audits and reporting.
  • Provide regular updates to the Office Manager and Division leadership on procurement, contracts, and grant status.
Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in business, Finance, or Public Administration required, bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, contracts, or grants management.
  • Familiarity with Tribal or government procurement procedures preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
