ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Find new sources of plastic scrap through the internet and by cold calling Find and maintain multiple accounts with recyclers and brokers Solve problems arising from rejected material by working with other team members Work closely with other departments such as accounting and logistics in order to fulfill a shipment Verify all necessary documents have been received for a particular shipment Ensure suppliers are taken care of through consistent communication and timely follow-up Track shipments and communicate with plant managers to ensure quality of received material coincides with what was purchased Perform research of certain plastic products, companies, or current news as directed by supervisor Capture data collected by phone the internet in an organized fashion so information can be easily accessed Perform research of certain plastic products, companies, or current news as directed by supervisor Log incoming sample data into internal system, ensure testing is done by the lab immediately, and data is reported Use MS Outlook to maintain and organize e-mail communication and set reminders Utilize other MS Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel depending on task assigned Experience and Skills: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in a customer service roll preferred.
