Job description

As the Manager of Procurement Analytics and Performance you will be responsible for building and maintaining Procurement data and analytics function, including processes, tools, and methodology for value capture and data accuracy across a wide range of projects and teams, with the purpose of facilitating visibility and ultimately decision making for investment optimization. This leader is expected to partner within the team, across Procurement, and cross-functionally to develop and evolve all areas under responsibility with a continuous improvement mindset. 
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
  • Develop a strategy and roadmap for best-in-class Procurement analytics capability, including reporting systems such as Power BI, Alteryx, evolving AI capabilities, and ongoing development of new dashboards leveraging all available procurement data
  • Evolve Procurement Value methodology (Savings/Cost Avoidance, OIO/ Cash Flow, etc.) in accordance with evolving Procurement remit, informed by industry best practices, and drive understanding and adoption within the department and administer value validation processes to ensure reported value meets established methodology criteria
  • Partner with team members in Procurement and cross-functional partners to develop and evolve functional performance KPIs and operational metrics 
  • Develop strong partnerships with Procurement, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to elevate visibility to realized and forecasted Savings, OIO, and other value delivered, enabling strategic decision-making across the enterprise; lead Procurement Pipeline Savings Review sessions and evolve the process as business needs change
  • Acts as a SME and own system configuration of the PPM (procurement project management) and Spend View (spend analysis) systems, partnering with the relevant providers with the purpose of developing new functionality within the system and enabling the analytics function, leveraging capabilities and meeting evolving business needs
  • Maintain and evolve report and enhancement requests through intake management, backlog tracking, prioritization, assignment of requests, and delivery tracking
  • Execute training and communication to relevant stakeholders who impact data accuracy
  • Foster a growth mindset and highly collaborative ways of working across lines, and encourage process improvement across all in scope responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and clear work direction to direct report(s) (future)
Basic qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience combined supply chain, strategic sourcing and/or procurement operations or similar
  • 2+ years of analytics, reporting, operations, or related analytical roles with demonstrated ability to analyze data, synthesize insights, and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • 2+ years of experience working with procurement or financial data, including designing, building, and maintaining reporting and dashboard solutions
  • 2+ years mentoring or in-direct/direct report experience
  • 3+ years collaborating with and influencing stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business
  • 2 or more years leading direct reports
  • Experience with S2P Technologies (SAP Ariba or Coupa)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
