P&G has an opportunity for an Olfactive Scientist to work on our Beauty Care business located in Mason, OH near Cincinnati. As an Olfactive Scientist in our R&D department, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our consumers. Perfume is a critical driver of consumer delight and business growth in nearly every category in P&G. Developing an Irresistibly Superior Fragrance experience requires a combination of strong scientific and creative skills, understanding of our brand equities and consumer needs, as well as mechanistic understanding of product chassis and perfume interactions. The job is a dynamic, highly visible role focused on leading the evaluation, guiding design and execution of Irresistibly Superior fragrances for our Beauty brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Beauty R&D teams to unlock opportunities to leverage perfume in the brand through integration of perfume trends, guiding the design of new perfumes, technical support on perfume and chassis integration and broad perfume support.
  • Provide expert fragrance evaluation support to guide P&G and Perfume House perfumers on the design of new superior perfumes for the brands.
  • Partner with R&D teams to integrate perfumes to deliver Irresistibly Superior experiences for our brands.
  • Providing fragrance project end to end leadership from design to execution, including working with category R&D customers, internal, and external perfume resources.
  • Design fragrance screening methods and consumer research techniques to enable the design of delightful perfumes.
  • Provide technical support to execute new perfumes into the market, including providing technical readiness of the perfume and interaction with Product Supply and Manufacturing to ensure perfume meets associated launch timing.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Food Science or related field.
  • Olfactive training and proven experience in the Flavors & Fragrances industry.
  • Ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally (<10%).
  • Working hours between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with flexible start time between 7-9 a.m.).
  • Ability to work at least 4 days per week working from our Mason, OH office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Beauty fragrance industry.
  • Degree or certification in Olfactory Sciences, Perfumery, or Fragrance evaluation.
