KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety & Environmental Health (EHS)

  • Champion the plant's safety culture and ensure strict adherence to all EHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage EHS resources proactively to promote a safe, engaged, and compliant work environment.
  • Conduct or oversee regular safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Ensure all employees are trained on applicable safety standards and equipped to work safely.

Production & Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement across all production areas to maximize efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Supervisors and hold them accountable for meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and performance support to Supervisors to promote professional growth and operational consistency.
  • Monitor and evaluate daily production performance and proactively address inefficiencies or bottlenecks.

Inventory Management

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory management processes, including:
  • Utilizing Material Movement Sheets for every material transfer.
  • Ensuring all material movements are entered into FUUZ in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conducting regular spot inventory checks to validate accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Ensuring blends are completed correctly and in accordance with Blend Sheets.
  • Maintaining daily visibility and documentation of material at offsite processors.

Workplace Culture & Collaboration

  • Foster a work environment centered on safety, positivity, and teamwork at all levels of the organization.
  • Promote accountability and uphold Allied Alloys' values and desired culture consistently across all departments.
  • Collaborate effectively with Executive Leadership, providing timely insights, operational updates, and solutions.
  • Serve as a visible, accessible, and respected leader on the shop floor every day.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on Sales Order (SO) status, available inventory levels, and equipment operational status.
  • Communicate personnel or workforce challenges leadership promptly and with recommended actions.
  • Maintain clear documentation practices and ensure records are complete, accurate, and accessible.

Succession Planning

  • Actively develop and implement succession plans for all key positions to ensure long-term business continuity and organizational readiness.
  • Identify high-potential employees and provide structured development opportunities in alignment with the company's growth objectives.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations leadership role.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge on metal processing (shredding, baling, torching, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience with inventory management systems; FUUZ ERP experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in developing high-performing teams, implementing KPIs, and driving measurable operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule with flexibility to address production issues off-hours or on weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to work on the shop floor, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
