Job description

The Continuous Improvement/ Process Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence within the warehouse by analyzing, designing, and improving processes within the warehouse environment. This role will support cross-functional processes across Planning, Customer Service, and other business functions to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in process engineering and project management, with the ability to lead both continuous improvement and transformational initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and improve warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and material handling
  • Identify inefficiencies, roadblocks, and waste using data analysis, process mapping, and time studies
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis (RCA), and structured problem-solving sessions
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost to measure process performance and improvement outcomes
  • Partner with warehouse leadership to implement standardized work processes and sustain improvements
  • Train and coach employees on Lean principles, tools, and continuous improvement methodologiesConduct time studies and value stream mapping to identify waste and bottlenecks
  • Support implementation of new systems, automation, or process changes within the facility
  • Monitor and report on project progress, savings, and operational impact
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies during all improvement initiatives
  • Lead and manage large-scale, strategic initiatives projects and continuous improvement projects
  • Own and manage the project pipeline to include intake, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives and execution planning
  • Apply structured project management methodologies to drive execution, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment
  • Support and lead change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption and sustainment of new processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Customer Service, and Operations teams to improve end-to-end processes and customer experience
  • Expand process improvement efforts beyond operations into broader business functions
  • Provide structure, governance, and reporting across multiple concurrent projects
