The Mortgage Processing/Closing Team Supervisor is responsible for leading the mortgage processing and closing areas and assisting in all steps of the processing and closing workflows to maintain an efficient and effective department. Responsible for working collaboratively with processors and closers to ensure that production is completed efficiently and accurately.
As a Mortgage Processing/Closing Team Supervisor, you will:
  • Supervise areas of department including processing and closing doc prep.
  • Participate in processing files and closing doc prep to meet or exceed customer expectations via managing turn times and department quality standards.
  • Train all employees (current and existing) on accurate data input for accurate Findings to reduce potential for negative impact to borrower(s) and bank. Track files to ensure- all service levels, three-day TRID, lock expiration are all met.
  • Assist Processing Manager in development and implementation of retail training in different loan products, accurate loan origination system data entry, various investor loan products and varying over-lays of investors.
  • Prepare and conduct One on One meetings with each employee on a regular basis by using Paycor.
  • Prepare and conduct Processing and Closing meetings for group coaching, training, up to date procedures.
  • Work closely with compliance and quality control to ensure rules and regulations are followed for clean audit findings.
  • Provide continuing education on processes and procedures to ensure clean audit compliance.
  • Conduct timely Performance Appraisals. Educate team regarding performance and department objectives and motivate employees for retention purposes. Recommend and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Assist the Loan Processing Manager with such projects as investor applications, annual recertification’s, etc.
  • Regularly review and adjust individual team member workload to ensure service levels are met or exceeded. Maintain a positive attitude and make decisions that support Nicolet National Bank’s three circles philosophy.
  • Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise the Mortgage Processing and Closing Teams in accordance with Nicolet’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, mentoring and development planning; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED/ associate degree in business administration, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years lending, processing, or closing experience required
  • 1-3 years of management experience required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of secondary market and mortgage processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to motivate, develop and lead a productive team.
