Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a PCBA Process Engineer located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the PCBA Process Engineer is in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Develop and optimize SMT processes including printing, placement, reflow, AOI/SPI.
  • Troubleshoot defects and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Support NPI builds, DFM reviews, and process validation.
  • Maintain process documentation and establish process controls (SPC, DOE).
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure stable line performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/6σ tools.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years SMT process engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of SMT equipment and IPC standards (IPC A 610, J STD 001).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with equipment such as ASM, DEK/MPM, BTU/Heller/Kurtz Ersa, Koh Young, Nordson.
  • Lean Six Sigma or IPC certification.
