Location: In person at our Benton, KY office | Monday - Friday | Full-Time

About the Position
As a Processing Assistant, you will play an essential role in assisting Processors and Loan Officers in moving loans smoothly and efficiently through the pipeline. Your work ensures files are complete, accurate, and ready for underwriting-making you a behind-the-scenes force that strengthens our branch and elevates the borrower experience.
Essential Functions
  • Loan File Preparation: Support operational needs by reviewing new loan applications, updating and organizing files in Encompass, and executing pre-processing tasks with accuracy. Order required documents such as VOEs, title work, appraisals, and surveys.
  • Accuracy & Completeness: Ensure all required information is collected and meets lender and regulatory guidelines. Your primary focus is delivering precise, complete work that supports the broader operations team.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Serve as a reliable point of contact for loan officers, borrowers, and internal departments. Build strong working relationships, provide timely updates, and help maintain a smooth, transparent process for all parties involved.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing environment where teamwork, initiative, and continuous improvement are valued.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience or coursework in finance, banking, or mortgage operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A proactive communicator who finds creative ways to support others.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-driven.
  • Eager to learn and grow within the mortgage industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products; experience with Encompass LOS is a plus.
