Volt is immediately hiring Process Technician for Injection Mold in Oxnard, CA.
As a Process Technician for Injection Mold, you Will:
  • The duties of the Set-up Person include but are not limited to the following:
  • Refer to Set-up Instruction Sheet.
  • Prepare injection molding machine specified on Set-up Sheet for setup
  • Locate Tool # to be used.
  • Visually examine Tool for fitness -for-use.
  • Hang tool specified on set up sheet in machine.
  • Attach Cooling lines, Mold heater, Hopper dryer as specified.
  • Inform Material Handler of material to be used.
  • Prepare Material Hopper for material to be used.
  • Set machine controls, time, temperature, pressure, etc. as outlined on setup sheet.
  • Inform Operators of special handling, trimming, and packaging requirements.
  • When all instructions of setup sheet are completed, mold first samples.
  • Visually inspect first run samples for quality of workmanship.
  • Prepare (detach from runner trim, bag) visually acceptable first shot samples.
  • Submit samples to QA/SPC after initial set up and authorized process changes.
  • Separate runners and material for regrinding from acceptable production.
  • Adjust and record changes in process parameters when advised by QA.
  • Stop machine when critical characteristics cannot be produced.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling to satisfy facility maintenance.
  • Respond to Quality Alerts and perform corrective/preventive action in a timely manner.
  • Gather, prepare, and submit SPC sample parts to QA during the production.
  • Stop machine and purge material at conclusion of production run.
  • Communicate status of production run shift-to-shift.
  • Coordinating and direct all production activities necessary to meet customer requirements i.e., tool issues, material handling, regrinding, packaging, and storage.
  • Submit production records to the Administrative Office.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by assuring that molding process setup produces moldings equal or better than the visual quality standards.

This is a Full-time, Contract to Hire opportunity.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Pay Range: $32.00 - $40.00 Per hour
