Job Summary

The Support Specialist delivers technical and development support for the TurnKey Enrollment platform and related systems, supporting tasks associated with the setup and maintenance of employer-sponsored insurance benefit plans. Responsibilities include client implementation and onboarding, building benefit plans, custom reports, and EDI data files. Additional duties include providing implementation assistance, data entry and testing on new clients/changes to existing clients being added into the enrollment and billing platforms. The Support Specialist position requires skills in multiple aspects of data including entry, analysis, reconfiguration, and data management. This individual must be analytical, detail oriented and extremely organized in order to provide a high level of customer satisfaction to both internal teams and external clients. The Support Specialist is also required to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously so that both internal teams and external clients are highly satisfied. Effective communication and meeting expected deadlines across all projects required.

Job Description

Duties

  • Handle multiple projects and recurring tasks at once and comply with deadlines.
  • Setup or renew enrollment site cases.
  • Gather requirements, instructions and build custom reporting, EDI files and custom payroll files.
  • Implement and monitor recurring incoming client census files.
  • Implement and monitor recurring outgoing custom payroll files.
  • Maintain accurate file processing schedule.
  • Conduct implementation testing and testing fixes.
  • Process Error and Results reports received from vendor partners.
  • Perform database crosschecks against carrier account structures
  • Perform data audit against cross references and system data to confirm accurate data reporting
  • Identify discrepancies or fallouts and process JavaScript and/or configuration corrections.
  • Complete EDI Setups and Implementations for new EDIs as approved by management.
  • Complete COBRA Vendor file builds and implementations.
  • Gather, analyze and map carrier account structure and SFTP instructions.
  • Participate in carrier EDI setup calls as requested.
  • Communicate AML standard timeline for deliverables.
  • Work and Resolve System Team Inquiry and development related tickets as assigned.
  • Create custom scripting as needed through enrollment platform user interfacing scripting tool
  • Assist with overflow of case build testing when another System Support Specialist is unavailable, including but not limited to, testing all benefit plan designs, eligibility classes and rules

Additional Duties on as need basis:

  • Work after hours when needed in order to meet client and/or carrier deadlines
  • Offer assistance to teammates when caught up on existing workload.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with a variety of insurance industry concepts, practices and procedures, preferred.
  • JavaScript or related scripting language knowledge is a plus
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is a necessity.
  • Data reconciliation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills, with an ability to critically examine processes to make improvements in efficiency and quality of service.
  • Willingness and aptitude to keep up with emerging technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior analytical reasoning, along with oral communication and phone skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure is essential.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; energetic and self-driven.
  • Experience in working with Benefit Enrollment / Benefit Administration Systems is a plus.
  • Ability to complete deliverables accurately and timely.
