Process Support Specialist
Job Summary:
The Process Support Specialist plays a critical support role in our lean aerospace manufacturing environment. This position ensures that technicians and machine operators have the necessary tools, components, and materials to meet production schedules without interruption. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and understands the importance of just-in-time material delivery in a precision-focused environment. Excellent communication skills and independent time management skills are a must.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Proactively replenish materials, components, tools, and supplies to work cells based on Kanban or other pull systems
  • Ensure uninterrupted production flow by removing waste, empty bins, and scrap from workstations
  • Deliver calibrated tools, consumables, and part kits to technicians and assembly lines
  • Communicate effectively with inventory control, logistics, and production teams to anticipate material needs
  • Maintain accuracy in material handling transactions via ERP
  • Conduct basic inspections of kits or materials before delivery to ensure readiness
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow all 5S, lean, and safety protocols

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing preferred
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and material flow concepts (e.g., Kanban, Just-in-Time)
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, part numbers, and material tags
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Basic computer skills (for inventory, ERP, or material tracking systems)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for extended periods
  • Ability to stay focused to specific scope of work
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
