VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Manufacturing Simulation Engineer to develop models and perform virtual commissioning for a worldwide engineering company. Working at the Troy, MI location and traveling for launch support.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Contract to hire. Onsite. PAY: Open based on years of experience.
Requirements of the Manufacturing Simulation Engineer:
  • Bachelor Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar is highly desired. Will also consider candidates with technical training and directly relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, equipment, and digital engineering methods.
  • Experience with virtual commissioning and digital platforms using industrial automation (Process Simulate / Plant Simulation, DELMIA, Visual Components, Emulate 3D, or comparable software).
  • Knowledge and experience in CAD Design, PLC/Robot programming, and/or electrical design.
  • Experience with machine or plant software and commissioning activities.
  • Willingness to travel at times to USA customer sites.

Duties of the Manufacturing Simulation Engineer:
  • Develop and validate digital models of automated manufacturing systems for automotive and industrial applications.
  • Work cross discipline (electrical, mechanical, controls, software) to create virtual commissioning solutions to ensure smooth startup of real-world equipment.
  • Support validation and testing of PLC Logic and process behavior activities using digital models to identify issues early and improve commissioning readiness. Debug plant controls prior to launch.
  • Develop engineering utilities, automation workflows, and model generation tools to improve efficiency and standardization.
  • Become a technical expert on the company s simulation platform, interface with clients, and provide customer and training support.
