Water/Wastewater Process Engineer/Project Manager
Location: Dayton, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
For over 70 years Fishbeck has been building. As a 100% employee-owned firm, every team member has a stake in what we build together—our work, our reputation, and our future. Now we need to add a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer or Project Manager to help us keep building.
Working with our Ohio water and wastewater team, you will manage projects from planning through construction, all while collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals across the firm. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys client interaction, mentoring staff, and leading complex water and wastewater facility projects. The position also provides a clear path toward expanded leadership responsibilities within the team and market sector.
What You’ll Do
  • Manage water and wastewater projects from concept through construction
  • Lead facility master plans, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering reports
  • Coordinate design efforts across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Develop construction documents, specifications, and permitting packages
  • Build relationships with municipal and utility clients
  • Mentor and develop staff
  • Support business development efforts, proposals, and industry involvement through organizations such as AWWA and WEF
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • 8+ years of water and/or wastewater process engineering experience
  • Strong facility planning and design experience
  • Project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • A desire to mentor others and contribute to the growth of the practice
