Providence, RI (Hybrid)

Their Northeast Division is a well-respected and award-winning group where career development, training, and mentoring co-exist with diverse civil, environmental, water resources, and traffic/transportation projects in a fast-paced and rewarding work environment.

They have engaged us to identify a talented and experienced Transportation Project Manager with a background in the design and management of transportation projects for a hybrid role in our Providence, RI Transportation Practice. While they prefer candidates in Providence, RI, they will consider those in any New England location as long as they can travel to their client sites in RI, MA and CT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the preparation of design and construction bid documents for transportation (roadway) projects involving multi-modal accommodations (Complete Streets) including corridor, intersection, and downtown improvements
  • Effectively present at meetings with clients and the public
  • Maintain project financials/budgets, schedules, and project advancement
  • Manage/mentor staff and provide guidance, manage workloads, and provide issue resolution
  • Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts
  • Maintain communication with clients including municipalities and regional agencies

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • 8 + years of experience in the transportation engineering field including roadway design and project management
  • Broad understanding of transportation design and planning standards, specifically standards and submission processes for state agencies, such as MassDOT, RIDOT, or NHDOT
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in planning and managing projects as well as maintaining budgets and schedules
  • Must be skilled at building and maintaining positive client relations
  • Must be motivated with a desire for personal growth and advancement, as well as firm growth
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective at managing and mentoring staff
  • Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills
