Job description

Power Plant Process Engineer

PPPE1 –0-5 Years Experience in related field. Accredited

PPPE2 --5-7 Years Experience in related field. Accredited

Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering preferred, others considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience with coal-fired or gas power plant equipment and systems.

Experience with power plant pollution control processes such as FGD, SCR, ESP, Fabric Filters, MATS, SO3, etc.

Proficient with plant information systems/software and remote monitoring.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field.

Experience being responsible for several plants and/or systems.

Experience with performance monitoring and identifying performance issues.

Experience troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Experience performing site walk downs and equipment inspections.

Field work experience with OEM designers such as GE, URS, and Mitsubishi preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have strong people skills and ability to be productive in a plant environment.

Able to understand new processes and system configurations quickly.

Must be an individual contributor comfortable working alone with limited direction.

Experience with outage support, inspections and repair planning preferred.
