ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Process Engineer leads plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance. Through data analysis, field measurements, and conversations with employees are able to diagnose issues and develop solutions. As an influencer able to move the plant towards greater performance.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • The Senior Process Engineer provides technical support to the plant's production, quality, and environmental functions. Understands strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment of plant and company objectives. Evaluates operations, processes, and trends through the use of audits and systematic approaches (Six Sigma, RCFA, SPC, etc).
  • Provides technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required. Serves as coach / mentor to CP's in process and other departments.
  • Primary to the Senior Process Engineer position is the coordination and participation in improvement of the Plant's technical capabilities. The Senior Process Engineer's objectives are to initiate process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant's equipment. This position has a requirement of elevating the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.
  • The Senior Process Engineer is seen as a developmental position to provide a full spectrum exposure to cement plant operations. Successful incumbents may be considered for advancement opportunities into supervisory or managerial positions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures - communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, similar disciplines
Required Training/Certifications: Minimum 5 years of cement plant experience
Required Technical Skills: Strong computer expertise in but not limited to : Excel, Access, IP21,SAP, and SPC.
Travel Requirements: Minimal

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
