The Local SEO Specialist will have experience with Local SEO, a passion for establishing strong relationships with their clients, a natural curiosity for website optimization, the ability to partner with content marketing to drive hyper-local content growth, and a knack for being proactive in pursuing growth opportunities for their book of business. At Rankings.io, we are committed to providing end-to-end SEM services, including content creation, technical optimization, and keyword strategy for law firms looking for aggressive growth across multiple digital platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Work with an established service client managing their local listings and demonstrating an advanced understanding of Local SEO.
  • Communicate with clients as needed to discuss goals and deliver results
  • Collaborate with the client's established data aggregator vendors and partners to boost inbound citation growth
  • Create, claim, and verify Google Business Profile listings across multiple locations
  • Optimize core GBP fields: business categories, descriptions, services, products, and attributes
  • Troubleshoot GBP suspensions, reinstatements, and verification issues
  • Utilize business acumen to work closely with client teams to identify and fully understand business needs, campaign performance objectives, and opportunities to grow the relationship and client investments
  • Assemble reports to develop and present recommendations for clients and rank software to gauge progress and inform the client of the value being provided
  • Partner with SEO teams and account management to identify geographic keywords to attract local customers and ensure the development of high-quality, optimized local content for the website
  • Identifying critical client/account issues and escalating them to appropriate executives in a timely manner
  • Keep up with the SEO (national and local) and AI industry through blogs, publishers, competitive research, etc. and regularly sharing thought leadership
  • Expected to retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities for assigned client account, both in SEO investments and cross-channel upsells
Requirements
  • 1-2+ years experience doing SEO work for clients within an agency environment
  • 2+ years of experience in local SEO or local SEO listings management for enterprise brand(s)
  • 2 years client facing experience
  • Desire to lead local strategy for large-growth SEO client
  • Strong knowledge of Local SEO best practices, Google My Business, GBP API and experience managing and optimizing local listings
  • Familiarity with Local SEO principles for landing pages, reviews, ratings, and citations management
  • Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis (Semrush, Ahrefs, etc)
  • Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Internet proficiency are required
  • Experience working directly on websites (general knowledge of CMS such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento is a plus)
