Job description

General Purpose of Job: 

The Business Analyst Intern, Supply Chain supports Supply Chain teams by assisting with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in supply chain operations, analytics, and business systems while developing foundational technical and business skills. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Logistics, Procurement, IT, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.

This internship is intended to provide meaningful, hands-on experience and professional development opportunities. Responsibilities will scale based on skill level and progress throughout the internship.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in updating and maintaining dashboards (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) under guidance from team members.

  • Support creation of basic reports and data visualizations

  • Help collect, organize, and validate data for analysis and reporting purposes.

  • Participate in team meetings to learn business processes and workflows

  • Assist with documenting business processes and updating standard operating procedures

  • Support gathering and documenting business requirements for process or system improvements

  • Assist in testing system changes by executing test cases and documenting results

  • Help prepare training materials and support communication of system or process updates

  • Assist in maintaining end-user documentation and job aids

  • Support tracking of project progress and key performance metrics

  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for applications and escalate issues as needed

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain exposure to supply chain operations and cross-functional business processes

  • Develop foundational data analysis and reporting skills

  • Learn business systems, tools, and technologies used in supply chain environments. 

  • Build experience in process documentation, project support, and stakeholder collaboration

Job Requirements:

Education: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, MIS, Operations Management, or a related field

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred

Experience:

  • Prior internship, coursework, or projects involving data analysis or reporting preferred

  • Exposure to tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment

  • Interest in supply chain operations and technology 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance
