This role will be responsible for supporting his/her assigned supervisor(s) in completing internal and external projects. Based on the intern's background, experience, and strengths, appropriate project(s) will be identified to support the work of the company. This position is designed to foster individual growth and capability by leveraging current knowledge and ability to complete novel assignments. The intern will have an opportunity to work with multiple locations and departments.ย 


oRotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
oAccepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
oEngages with customers or clients and provides service
oProvide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
oLearns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
oSafetyย 
oKnows and follows center rules
oFollows center dress and hygiene policies
oDemonstrates proper use of equipment.ย  Reports equipment needs or repairs
oFollows center smoking policies
oReports and documents any incidents or accidents of residents, staff or visitors to the appropriate center personnel
oReports all hazardous conditions/equipment to Supervisor
oPerforms duties, which may include transportation of residents, as assigned in Center Disaster Plan
oUses required protective equipment
oFollows infection control standards, policies and procedures.ย

oUses and/or discloses only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasksย 
oReports all suspected violation of company's HIPAA policies or procedures to Center Privacy Designee.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements
The responsibilities of this position involve significant physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 20 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting.ย  ย 

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Enrolled in a healthcare program
Computer proficiency with Microsoft products

Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Post-acute care, health care experience

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:ย 
Ability to type (40 w.p.m.).ย  Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.ย  Knowledge of operating standard office equipment.ย  Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills.
