Job description

About the Role
Atlas Pressure Control is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead process improvement initiatives across our Houston and Odessa locations. This role will drive organization-wide efficiency, identify and execute operational improvements, and build a culture of continuous improvement through hands-on coaching and professional development. The ideal candidate brings a certified Lean Six Sigma, Gemba, or Obeya background and is equally comfortable on the shop floor as they are presenting improvement roadmaps to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead process improvement initiatives across departments and locations, from root-cause analysis through full implementation
  • Conduct regular Gemba walks and facilitate Obeya-style visual management practices to surface operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with department leaders and field teams in both Houston and Odessa to standardize processes and reduce waste
  • Design and deliver professional development programs that build continuous improvement capability across the organization, including training frontline supervisors and managers in CI methodologies
  • Lead cross-functional kaizen events and improvement projects, tracking measurable outcomes (cost savings, cycle time reduction, quality improvements)
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to track the impact of improvement initiatives organization-wide
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Lean/Six Sigma, Gemba, and Obeya methodologies
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time between Houston and Odessa locations to support in-person implementation and training

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process/continuous improvement roles, ideally within oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Gemba, or Obeya methodology required
  • Demonstrated track record of leading improvement projects from identification through execution and measurable results
  • Experience designing and delivering training or professional development programs
  • Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites and building relationships with both field staff and leadership
  • Based in Houston or Odessa, TX, with willingness to travel approximately 50% between locations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience in the oil and gas or industrial services sector
  • Familiarity with visual management tools and 5S implementation
